About Applications

A Potomac application is little more than a stub. To create a Potomac application, create a standard Flex Project. Then add the Potomac Application Nature via the right-click menu. The main application mxml file will also need one line of initialization code. See Getting Started.

Developers should not add any significant code to the application project. There are a few exceptions such as setting a new application skin.

The Potomac compiler will add some auto-generated code into the application project under the ‘derived’ folder. Potomac will also copy the application’s bundles into the ‘bundles’ folder under bin-debug.
